Solar energy is an important part of future energy.
As non-renewable energy sources diminish and global warming intensifies, there is a widespread global agreement to develop an energy system rooted in renewable sources and pursue green, sustainable development.
Over 130 countries and regions globally have set "carbon neutrality" goals, and by 2022, PV markets with capacities of 26 GW or more will exist worldwide, constituting 88.6% of the total installed PV capacity.
Ground-mounted (centralized) solutions
Centralized photovoltaic power stations are predominantly constructed in desert regions, boasting significant advantages such as high power generation capacity, simple construction, easy maintenance, and superior power quality. The grid connection voltage typically ranges from 10KV to 35KV and above. The installed capacity of these power stations generally falls within the range of tens of MW to several hundred MW.
Ground-mounted station (String) Solutions
String-type photovoltaic power stations, characterized by their compact size, low self-consumption rates, and high efficiency levels, currently represent the predominant design for large-scale photovoltaic installations. The inverters typically employed in these stations are 230kW or less. The grid-connection voltage is usually 10KV or 35KV and above. The installed capacity of such power stations ranges from several tens of MW to several hundred MW.
Large-scale distributed PV solutions
Customer sites host large-scale distributed photovoltaic power stations with a minimum capacity of 400KW, primarily designed for local electricity consumption and grid connection. These power stations operate on AC 380V or AC 10KV grid voltage and are mainly utilized for building-integrated power generation systems and as complementary power sources for agriculture and fisheries.
Commercial and industrial rooftop PV solutions
Medium-sized distributed photovoltaic power plants, with capacities not exceeding 400kW, are installed on the rooftops of customer buildings. These plants can operate in a self-generating mode and are also capable of grid-connection (or function in an off-grid manner). The typical grid-connected voltage is AC380V. They are primarily installed on commercial and industrial rooftops, as well as at village power stations.
Residential PV Solutions
The capacity of small-scale distributed photovoltaic power plants is generally below 20kW. They are directly installed on the rooftops of users, utilizing the modes of full grid-connection or self-consumption with surplus power grid-connected. The grid-connected voltage is AC 220V or AC 380V, primarily for residential photovoltaic applications.
